SECTION 1: The term "fireworks shall mean and include any firecracker, torpedo, skyrocket, Roman candle, sparkler, or other similar combustible explosive device used for audio or visual effect.
SECTION 2: No person, firm, company, corporation or association shall cast, throw or fire any combustible fireworks of any kind in the city limits of the City of Bronte, Texas
SECTION 3: It shall be unlawful for any person to offer for sale, or to receive compensation for transferring or selling fireworks of any description within the City Limits of Bronte, Texas.
SECTION 4: It shall be unlawful for any person, association of persons, firm or corporation to manufacture or store fireworks within the corporate limits of the City of Bronte, Texas
SECTION 5: Nothing in this ordinance shall be construed to apply or prevent any celebration of special events with a demonstration or display of fireworks of any kind if conducted under proper Fire Department supervision after application made to and permit issued by the Mayor of the City of Bronte.
SECTION 6: Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each and every violation hereof.
SECTION 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 8: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, or phrase, or provisions of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validly of this ordinance as a whole, or any part or provision thereof, other than the part so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 9: In view of the fact that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate protection and preservation of the public health, safety and general welfare, it becomes necessary that this ordinance shall be in full force immediately upon its passage and publication of the ordinance in the Observer/Enterprise according to law.
